HTMX: Hypermedia Powered Drupal

HTMX is literally a "rising star" in the rapidly evolving world of JavaScript libraries and frameworks.  HTMX placed 10th overall among all projects and 2nd only to React in the Front-end Frameworks division. HTMX is a light-weight library that is elegant in its simplicity yet able to create highly interactive and reactive digital experiences.

We will examine what HTMX can do, what makes it powerful, and how it differs from the approach that has been typical of JavaScript frameworks.HTMX is particularly well suited to pairing with server-side frameworks, such as Drupal.  The  session will also showcase the HTMX contributed module for Drupal and look at a proof-of-concept we are constructing to refactor the Ajax system in Drupal core to use HTMX instead of jQuery.
